Patterns in the Hanzi

The idea

I'm always looking for opportunities to bring together my various interests and eclectic skills. On the one hand, I wanted a new project to practice React, preferably something linking in with open-source packages. On the other hand, I was getting ever more interested in the origins of Chinese characters, different calligraphy styles, and the patterns in their current forms, particularly what are known as phonosemantic compounds.
